Description:
The Goshen Central School District is seeking a qualified Elementary Teacher for the C.J. Hooker Middle School. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, standards-based instruction that supports the academic and emotional growth of our students. The candidate will create a positive learning environment, collaborate with colleagues and families, and implement district curriculum to meet the diverse needs of all learners. 

Certification Requirements:

• Valid NYS Certification in:

• Elementary Education (Grades 1-6), or

• Elementary Education (birth- Grade 6/PK-6

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of New York State Learning Standards
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
• Strong classroom management and instructional practices
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, engaging, and student-centered learning environment

LONG-TERM SUBSTITUTE TEACHER - SPANISH

October 7, 2026 - December 23, 2026

N.Y.S. Certification is Required SPANISH 7-12

Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Spanish language instruction aligned with the New York State Learning
Standards for World Languages (Grades 7–12).
Foster the development of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in Spanish.
Integrate cultural perspectives, practices, and products of Spanish-speaking communities into instruction.
Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to promote growth.
Utilize technology and digital resources to enhance language learning.
Collaborate with colleagues in the World Languages Department and across disciplines.
Maintain accurate records, attendance, and grading in accordance with district policies.
Communicate effectively with students, families, and administrators.
Participate in professional development and contribute to a positive school culture.

Qualifications:
Required:
Valid NYS Certification in Spanish 7–12
Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or related field
Strong command of the Spanish language and familiarity with cultural contexts
